As you kno...Julie, I am SO EXCITED for Alexander! As you know, my son Nate, has had an anaphylactic reaction to peanuts for 8 1/2 years. We have many many stories to share (which I will blog later). BUT, we just completed the peanut desensitization program at Dr. Wasserman's office!!! Hallelujah is right!!!!

Even though I was aware of the program much earlier, it took me over a year to enroll Nate in the desensitization program (lots and lots of prayer)! I mean really!.... do I want to GIVE my son the very thing we have so diligently avoided and could possibly give him an anaphylactic reaction?

He started the program on July 1, 2010 and completed it on Oct 21, 2010. Now he is desensitized and tolerant! He eats peanut M&Ms everyday - twice a day as part of his maintenance dose. Halloween was a totally different experience that EVER before! NO FEAR! Praise the Lord!

I would love to blog our experiences and follow along with you as Alexander completes this program. I want as many people as I can tell to know what a GREAT blessing this desensitization was for Nate and our family!Stacey Hanleynoreply@blogger.com
